  1. JASHofAT says:

Wow, I had no idea there were so many books on the AT. If I had the time I would probably read them all I love the AT so much. Happy Trails

JASH – Just A Section Hiker

  2. Mark says:

Thank you for taking the time to document and present all the data here.

This certainly is a help to me in my planning stages. I am planning a northbound thru-hike now, and excited to read many aspects of the trail.

    Sincerely,
    ~ Mark

  3. Joel Robbins says:

I have a novel on Kindle entitled Appalachian Tales. Can I get it listed here? Thanks.

    • eArThworm says:

Very sorry, because it looks interesting (nice cover!), but I don’t list Kindle-only items. Hope it sells well.
If you haven’t already, mention it on WhiteBlaze (whiteblaze.net).

  4. Carol says:

Hi eArThworm! It’s been awhile huh? I was trying to recall the exact mileage of the AT in 1989 (2,143.8?) and came across your list….it’s awesome! I am going to let some folks know about it for sure. By the way, I do have Trail Magic on dvd now and it’s available on ebay & amazon…
    All my best to you,
    Lagunatic AT’89

    • eArThworm says:

Hi there Lagunatic!! Where are you located now? I’ve updated the listing for Trail Magic to reflect the DVD available thru Amazon, and I ordered the last “No rain…” sticker from eBay. Funny…I was just looking at the beat-up sticker on my car window last week and wishing I had a new one!

  5. Carol says:

Hi Linda! I mailed out your sticker today. I didn’t realize it was the last one, so I guess I need to find more huh? Thanks for all the help you’ve given me throughout the years…you are very good at connecting people & providing info! The DVD is available through Ebay as well, and I think it might be a little cheaper that way. (Amazon has weird shipping rules) I wanted to send you one but inventory is very low at the moment…
I live in No Cal for now…was in Colorado for 19 years, but got tired of snow and 2 month summers. I was on Anna Maria Island for a bit a couple years ago, but that is the closest I’ve been to Florida in years.
    Have a great day!
    Carol

  6. Ray Anderson says:

I’ve written an AT thriller called “The Trail.” It was released by Turner Publishing in 2015. In my novel, I’ve put a fugitive, wanted for murder, on the AT. This fugitive, hiking under the trail name Moonwalker, preys on women and the book isn’t just another walk in the woods!

I had a wonderful thru-hike and I don’t want to alarm fellow hikers and readers, but it’s always wise to stay alert in the wilds. Thank you and happy trails.
